Muhammad Farooq is pursuing his PhD from School of Medicine, National University of Ireland, Galway under the supervision of Prof. William Wyns and Dr Atif Shahzad in Smart Sensors Lab since September 2018. He is working on a research project related to device development for continuous arterial blood pressure monitoring. His PhD program is funded by the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI).
He has done his BS in Electrical Engineering from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Lahore, Pakistan in 2013; where his final year project was regarding the guidance of blind people through Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). Before joining NUIG, he was serving as Lab Engineer in Electrical Engineering department of an associate college of University of Bradford, UK. His current research interests are biosensors, microelectronics and bio-signal processing.
